For a barber shop choir, it takes more than one barber…. enquire within, all welcome to audition.
I’m just not going to worry about that stuff.
Look at the sunshine. All I’ve got to do is cut hair and sweep this floor ,its paid for. If I make somebody smile and earn an honest dollar it is good enough for me. Where is the comics?
I’m just not going to worry about that stuff.
I’ve pushed the broom, back and forth.
Watched it glide across the warn wooden floor.
Removed the last bit of hair from an old friend today.
Counted the change before closing the drawer.
I’ll rest now that thirty years are out the door,
Because the landlord wants just a little bit more
A few of the guys stop by the store today,
Just to see if I was doing OK.
It’s a crime, it’s a shame,
This old neighborhood won’t be the same.
They’ll all go to the mall.
Maybe I should rent a stall,
Just to pass my idle days.
But then, maybe I’ve worked enough for one life anyway
Maybe I’ve earned these idle days…
