Interview the Writer – Semein Washington
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Semein Washington. Age 18. I was born and raised in Portsmouth, Virginia and am now living in Farmville, Virginia for a college education. My family includes a mother and father now in their late fifties, one brother aged forty one with two nieces and one sister in her thirties along with a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins.I love nearly any type of music which crosses my path, being an audiophile, but my favorite would have to be Jazz. Much good art and writing have influenced me throughout my lifetime. My favorite writers include Hemingway, Dostoevsky, Joyce, McCourt and Alvarez. My favorite artists include Monet, Cezanne and Dali. My favorite poet would have to be Rumi with Sandburg and Ginsberg following up.
I am currently majoring in Anthropology.
